Boone Area Community Radio is an independent, listener-supported online radio station led by members of our community. Our goal is to bring you the sounds and stories from the folx who live here and who have been influenced by this town.
We strive to provide content from all voices in this town and we hope that everybody can find a program that represents them. We want to provide an accessible public platform for people to spread their message or stories. We intend to be an inclusive community space that will not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, or ableism.
Every program available on this site is produced and submitted from volunteers with an idea. During this time, most of the programs on BACR have been pre-recorded and submitted from home, but we do have a studio space that has all the tools you need to create a program live. So if you are a creator with an idea, reach out and we will help you get up and running here at BACR.
